Collaboration with Royal Court Theatre
The Foundation has collaboration with the Royal Court Theatre, London, British Council, Mumbai and Rage Production to provide a platform to playwright and so far, 20 original stories have been staged at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and the Prithvi Theatre.
Vijayanagar Art Camp
An Art Camp was recently organized at Vijayanagar (Bellary, Karnataka) where 21 artists displayed their art work and methods of creating it.
Association with Enamellist Association of India
The Foundation has supported establishment of an enameling studio at Vasind Works (Thane, Maharashtra) in association with the Enamelist Association of India.
A quarterly publication for ART India provides a forum of artists, art lovers and the business community to be in touch with one another
Hampi Foundation
The UNESCO World Heritage site at Hampi is situated close to our Vijayanagar works. The Hampi Foundation was set up in 2000 to formulate a comprehensive master plan for management of the ruins. The Foundation sponsors the Hampi Utsav Festival, an annual gathering of local and national level artist. A major conference on Hampi was also organised in the month of February 2008.
Sir JJ School of Arts
Following the earlier project on exterior restoration of the building, which fetched JSW Foundation an award in the Art, Culture and Heritage category of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Government of Maharashtra has entrusted JSW Foundation with a major project to restore and document the paintings and sculptures, restore the Dean’s bungalow and convert it into an Arts Museum and renovate the interiors of the fine arts building.
