Educative CDs / Material developed by the Azim Premji Foundation are installed at local schools. 19 CALCs are presently functional in rural schools near Vijaynagar works. JSW Foundation facilitates interaction between parents and school authorities, identifies and trains local teachers and pays them a stipend. The interactive mode of teaching creates excitement in students and attracts them to government schools
Balwadis
25 rural women have started Balwadis at their homes. For this initiative JSW Foundation gives them a stipend.
Village Learning Centres
Village Learning Centres started at 20 locations around Vijayanagar assist 100 students to get mainstreamed in formal schools
Mobile Libraries
Mobile libraries in Vijayanagar and Vasind provides reading material to students. The Tarapur team has helped in upgrading the library at the CBSE School, and now it is maintained by the Chinmaya Foundation. In the industrial area of Tarapur, collaborative projects with many other industries have been given utmost importance so as to make this objective effective and useful.
