And if your work is recognized in a public platform like the Earth Care Awards, it gives you encouragement and the enthusiasm to put your heart and soul in the work you are doing. Sometimes these programmes have more potential to inspire others than the work government is doing. With the help of Sarthak Karmis (rag pickers) and garbage dealers, polythene waste is collected and transported to be used as fuel in cement plants.
