JSW Foundation signs MoU with NABARD

A Mission to Boost Agricultural Productivity and Development

JSW Foundation and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) signed an MoU on 16th July, 2018,.

The intent of the MoU was to identify activities and geographies where development and credit intervention could converge. Initially, the MoU will focus on poor regions that lack enough resources.

The aim of this association is to boost the ongoing efforts of the Foundation by partnering with a nationally acclaimed organisation, that can further help promote sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural development.

Implementing Futuristic Solutions to Achieve Sustainability

Mr. Biswadip Gupta, CEO, JSW Foundation and Dr. P. M. Ghole, Chief General Manager, Farm Sector Policy Department, NABARD signed a MoU on 16th July, 2018, in Mumbai. Present along with them were pillars of the JSW Foundation, Rupa Dawane and Mr. Ashwini Saxena.

The association was initiated to improve the rural economy in the areas that lack watershed management. Besides, it also aims to upgrade agriculture, provide an alternative livelihood on a sustainable basis, and last but not the least, strengthen the community based on microfinance programmes.
