Mr. Jain is the Chairman of JSW Infrastructure. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has over 40 years of experience. He has been associated with the JSW Group since 1992. Mr. Jain joined Jindal Iron and Steel Company Ltd (now JSW Steel) as General Manager (Finance), and eventually rose to the position of Executive Vice Chairman.
Mr. Jain also holds posts in other JSW group companies. Prior to joining the Jindal Group, he was with Permanent Magnets Ltd for 22 years.
Capt. Sharma is a Master Mariner who joined the JSW Group in 2003 as Joint Managing Director and CEO. His present responsibilities include development and operations of private commercial and captive terminals, helping the Group negotiate shipping contracts and optimizing sea freight, port and logistics cost inputs in the steel business. Capt. Sharma played a significant role in making the Mundra Port one of the best-managed private commercial ports in India.
Capt. Sharma holds a Certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going), and has attended the Shipping Management course in IIM, Ahmedabad. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, London (MICS) and a former member of the International Harbour Masters Association.
Jayesh Bhatt is a Mechanical Engineer with PG Diploma in Business Management having over 30 years of rich experience in Ports Logistics & Infrastructure Industry. He comes to us from IMC Limited where he was CEO (Dry Cargo Business) and he has worked in leadership roles with Karaikal Port, Adani Group, South West Port etc. He has multifaceted holistic experience of the Ports as Business units.
Mr. Rao is the Unit Head at South West Port, Goa. He completed his BE (Mechanical) with a first class in 1973 and is a member of Institution of Engineers (India). Mr. Rao possesses over 40 years of vast experience in the development of modern ports with fully mechanised systems — from conceptualisation to implementation of the projects. Mr. Rao has years of experience in efficient operations in various industries and several ports, such as Visakhapatnam Port, Chennai Port, Mormugao Port, Paradip Port and Adani-Mundra Port.
Mr. Rao was instrumental in the conceptualisation and development of the state-of-the-art mechanised coal-handling systems at South West Port and JSW Jaigarh Port. He has been with the company for more than nine years. During the span of his career, he has had exposure to various facets of port conceptualisation and design, development, operation and maintenance, improvements and other activities related to the development of greenfield port infrastructure
After passing out as a mechanical engineer (with a first class), Mr. Jhanji has gained rich industrial experience across various aspects of an enterprise in the steel industry with specialisation in projects and commercials, and primarily in setting up of steel plants and captive ports from concept to commissioning. Besides having excellent liaising and negotiation ability with various agencies, he also possesses strong technical and commercial skills with the ability to execute projects from concept to commissioning. He displays special acumen for equity generation and debt syndication. After working with a small steel rolling company in 1986, he joined JSW group in 1987 at Vasind Steel Plant in the Maintenance Department.
After working in various functions including maintenance, operation, projects, and commercial among others he joined Karnataka Strip Ltd at Bellary in 2006 as General Manager Works. He later joined Essar Steel Hazira Ltd at Hazira in 2007 where he was Project Coordinator for a five million tonnes per annum steel plant. Mr. Jhanji joined JSW Ispat Steel Ltd in 2010 as Vice President - Project Procurement for upcoming projects. From Oct 2012 he has been in charge of JSW Dharamtar Port for Operations and Projects.
