Built with a glass and metal frame structure,Terminal 3 is India’s first airport building to receive LEED Gold certification. Sustainable design strategies include a northern orientation that reduces solar gain, optimum use of natural light, interior finishes with high recycled content and battery-powered vehicles for moving travelers between terminals. The water management and treatment program features more than 300 rainwater harvesting pits.
