Winners of the AD × JSW Prize for Contemporary Craftsmanship 2025 Announced
It was a memorable evening at Mumbai’s NCPA, where India’s craft community came together to celebrate the 7th edition of the AD × JSW Prize for Contemporary Craftsmanship, hosted in partnership with the JSW Foundation. The gathering shone a light on exceptional artisans whose dedication continues to preserve, revive and elevate India’s rich craft traditions.
The AD × JSW Prize for Contemporary Craftsmanship champions artisans and designers working closely with craft practices across India and beyond. Rooted in the celebration of fine traditional craftsmanship, tacit knowledge and indigenous techniques, the prize honours innovative, forward-looking and contemporary objects that reinterpret heritage for the future. Through a rigorous jury-led process, entries from artisans, craft groups and designers are reviewed, shortlisted and evaluated culminating in the selection of a single winner who receives a cash prize, national recognition and prominent editorial coverage by Architectural Digest India.
At its heart, the Prize seeks to identify and support individuals, organisations, schools and entire craft communities shaping new conversations around craftsmanship in India. It celebrates excellence in craftsmanship, world-class quality, traditional skill, preservation of heritage, community empowerment and sustainable, long-lasting practices.
This year, an esteemed jury featuring leaders from craft, design and culture came together to identify voices shaping India’s craft future.
