JSW Foundation becomes a member of the United Nations Global Compact

JSW Foundation, in a bid to further its commitment to sustainability and community development, has joined the United Nations Global Compact.

The UNGC is a United Nations organization that encourages global businesses and organizations to adopt sustainable and socially responsible concepts and practices. It is also the world’s largest corporate social responsibility initiative with 13,000 participants and stakeholders from over 170 countries. The UNGC was announced by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in 1999 and officially launched in New York City in 2000.

We pledge to participate in and engage with the UN Global Compact by proposing and implementing partnerships on corporate sustainability and engaging with other stakeholders; supporting UN Global Compact business participants as they implement and report on their sustainability efforts; engaging with Global Compact Networks; joining and support issue platforms and work-streams across the themes of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

Moving towards a better tomorrow, today!
