Overview
As India develops as a country, the demand for smarter cities with efficient infrastructure has increased. Travelling by road has become a frustrating, chaotic and congested affair.
It is for this very reason that the move to shift freight from road to rail has been employed. The Dedicated freight-only railway lines, along highly congested transport corridors such as Ludhiana, Delhi and Kolkata, are designed to significantly increase efficiency. Not just that but the DFC will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2.25 times spanning a period of 30 years. At JSW, we believe that smarter cities can be created only if environmental and technological advancements go hand-in-hand.
