JSW has never been afraid to take a risk and move forward in a direction that most would never consider. At every point we have succeeded, and watched as other businesses have followed suit. 

The Kakrapur Atomic Power Station is one such gem. Known as the country’s first 700 MW Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) plant, it was truly revolutionary for its time. At first its role was assigned merely to electricity production, but with time it progressed to commercial production too. In January 2003, CANDU Owners Group (COG) declared KAPS as the best performing pressurized heavy water reactor.
