COAL Terminal:
Mangalore Coal Terminal Private Limited (MCTPL) formerly known as Chettinad Coal Terminal is located in New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT).
NMPT is a modern all-weather Port situated at Panambur, Mangalore on the West Coast of India, 170 nm South of Mormugao Port and 191 nm North of Cochin Port.
MCTPL is state of the art fully mechanised terminal having a capacity of 7 MMTPA. The terminal has a berth which is 325 meters long can handle vessels up to 14 meters and can handle coal, coke, limestone and dolomite cargo.
The key infrastructure at the terminal:
Unloaders:  2 nos with 4000 TPH capacity
Conveyors: 3.3 kms with 4000 TPH capacity
Stacker Reclaimer: 2 nos with Stacking capacity of 4000 TPH and reclaiming capacity of 4000 TPH
Stockyard: 26 acres of storage space having 12 nos stockyards
Truck Loading: 5 Weighbridges of 100-120 MT cap each with capacity to turnaround trucks in 1.50 Hours
Rail Loading: Capacity to load 7 rakes /day – Wagon loading time of 2 hours/rake
