Mr. Jindal holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Bangalore University. He is also the principal promoter of the Company. Mr. Jindal’s dedication to the cause of a self-reliant India is reflected in the technological innovations that define and set apart each JSW company. Under his leadership, JSW Group over the years has expanded in other core sectors of the economy, such as Steel, Power, infrastructure building and Cement. Today, the JSW Group runs some of the most energy efficient and eco-friendly manufacturing facilities in the country. Mr. Jindal also serves as council member of the Indian Institute of Metals and is also a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee of World Steel Association, as well as the former President of Institute of Steel Development and Growth.. In 2007, he was named the Ernst and Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the manufacturing category. In 2009, he was honoured with the Willy Korf Ken Iverson Steel Vision Award by the American Metal Market & World Steel Dynamics.

Whole-Time Director, CEO & CFO

Mr. Manoj Kr. Mohta is a Commerce Graduate and Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Mohta worked in premier corporate-houses in India for over 27 years and has gained very rich professional experience in the fields of Corporate Finance, Treasury, Taxation, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Procurement, Secretarial, Legal, and other allied functions. He is presently associated with JSW Group since November 2004 and has spearheaded many important positions in Steel, Cement, Infrastructure, and Sports businesses. Prior to joining JSW Group, Mr. Mohta was with Aditya Birla Group for over 10 years in one of its Corporate Functions wherein he had worked extensively with different businesses for resolution of critical issues and rendered constructive support to senior management on various group-level initiatives and enabling the execution of high-impact projects aimed at achieving commercial excellence and performance improvement.

He holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce and is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Mr. Jain who joined the JSW Group in 1992, held positions of increasing responsibilities including as Director-Finance in 1994, Deputy MD & CEO in 1996 and Executive Vice-Chairman of Jindal Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. Mr. Jain has over four decades of wide experience in the areas of mergers and acquisition, finance, law and capital restructuring. Mr. Jain ceased to be the Executive Vice Chairman of the Company with effect from 31st August 2013 while continuing as Director. His deep knowledge and astute eye for all aspects of business have helped establish JSW as a still-rapidly growing diversified conglomerate.

Mr. Kantilal Narandas Patel is a Commerce Graduate from Mumbai University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has a long association of over 26 years with JSW Group, with significant contribution in the areas of Financial Management, Management Information Systems, Corporate Taxation, Corporate Finance, Investment, Mergers/ Acquisitions/ Restructuring/ Reorganisation, and Fund Management, etc. Mr. Patel possesses over 45 years of rich and varied experience and has an outstanding performance record during his association with the JSW Group since August 1995.

Mr. Atul Desai is a Bachelor in Science, L.L.B & Solicitor. He is a partner of Kanga & Company, Advocates & Solicitors since 1st April, 1980. He has handled and dealt with various merger & amalgamation matters in the High Court and also takeover of companies and other corporate matters and commercial arbitrations and litigations.

Mrs. Sutapa Banerjee is a Bachelor in Science (Honours) in Economics from Calcutta University and has completed PGDPM, (Gold medalist in Economics) from XLRI, Jamshedpur in the year 1989.

She has expertise for over 23 years in the financial services industry across 2 multinational banks and a boutique Indian Investment bank. She has over 16 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, with 11 being in setting up from scratch and heading the private banking business in two organizations with proficiency in start-ups, including writing the business case, creating the business model, operating model, processes and client propositions. She has skills in acquiring, creating and managing portfolios of ultra HNIs and adept at integrating businesses, inspiring and managing change in both nascent and evolving market environments, as also in commoditized markets.

Mr. Kulkarni holds master’s degrees in engineering and in management. He began his career in 1981 with M/s. M. N. Dastur & Co., premier engineering firm in India. Thereafter, he worked in various capacities with Essar Group and was responsible for 10 million ton expansion of their Hazira Works. He was with JSW Group from Feb 2008 to March 2016. Mr. Kulkarni has implemented and operated large projects in India, Indonesia, Korea and Chile. His responsibilities in JSW Group included development and operation of an iron ore mine in Chile, scouting for natural resources in Latin America & Africa, and operations of JSW Cement. He has been a Director on the Board of JSW Cement Limited from 2012.
