IKEA opened its first ever Indian outlet in Hyderabad, on 9th August, 2018.The outlet is spread across 400,000 square feet and houses one of the largest restaurants in the world, designed to accommodate 1,000 individuals.
With an investment of $1.5 billion, the Swedish brand’s store has employed 1,000 people, maintaining an equal ratio of both men and women. It also boasts a parking space with a capacity of 2,000 motor vehicles.

JSW Lays a Strong Foundation for IKEA’s Flagship Store in India.
IKEA unpacked its first store in India on 9th August, 2018. It opened the doors of a four lakh square feet outlet in Hyderabad’s HITEC City, making it the largest single brand outlet the country has ever seen.
The iconic Swedish home furnishing brand chose to partner with JSW to ensure availability of expert services and consistent quality of bars. For this project, the company has supplied over 72% of TMT bars that not only ensures higher strength, but also promises a lasting relationship between the two brands.
