Addressing Social Inequality

 
Ratnagiri
  • 84 women are currently working as associates at non voice Rural BPO with an average income of INR 5000-7000 per month. 
  • Betel nut plate unit, Cashew processing unit, Mango caning unit established by Self Help Groups (SHG) which further aid in individuals becoming self reliant
  • 115 women from SHG have been able to transform their lives and have collectively managed a turnover of INR 35 Lakhs.
  • 13 SHGs earned INR 6.71 lakh rupees in FY 2015-16 through entrepreneurial ventures
  • Our commitment to water conservation through Maharashtra government’s ‘Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyaan’ has so far led to construction of 22 check dams at 241 Hac. The structures will hold more than 69000 cubic meter of water in the catchment and will benefit 10000+ people.
 
Barmer
  • 90 women are part of 8 SHGs in DIZ and getting regular training inputs to enhance handicraft product designs
  • 50 bicycles were given to adolescent girls in DIZ 
 
Kutehr
  • Vocational training (Sewing teaching centers)- 45 women were trained in sewing across 7 villages
  • 18 SHGs have been created and linked to banks, benefitting 180 women
  • 20 women received training in knitting to make sweaters and socks to become self reliant and have sustainable livelihood
