JSW Energy Team saved the day and delivered critical assistance in Maharashtra

JSW Energy Comes to the Aid of the Community

As the monsoon arrived in Maharashtra, State infrastructure has also been susceptible to the elements. In the district of Ratnagiri, Maharastra, the Tiware Dam was breached on the night of July 3rd, causing floods downstream. The breach of the Dam resulted in the loss of life and as well as massive displacement to all villages downstream.

 

JSW Energy in Action

With two National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams deployed to the area, team members of the JSW Energy were amongst the first responders to join the rescue efforts, spending close to two days at the site to ensure rehabilitation of the area and assist in delivering critical assistance to the community that was directly affected by the disaster.

The JSW Energy team also delivered 6 water tanks at the request district administration as all water sources that provided water to the region was either contaminated or blocked.

 

 

The JSW Group continues to stay committed to the development of the communities it functions in and we are proud that the team of Mr.Prashant Saxsena (Head Transmission), Mr.Ankit Shah, Mr.Vinod Parab, Mr.Vihsal Shinde, Mr. Hanumant Patil,, Mr.Vaibhav Sansare, Mr.Ganesh Ghodke & members of the transmission team were forthcoming in offering their assistance in delivering solutions for the community while it was compromised.
