JSW Foundation strengthens its commitment to Social Responsibility in accordance with the ISO 26000:2010
JSW Foundation is proud to announce its conformity to the ISO 26000:2010 Guidance on Social Responsibility. With this, the Foundation becomes the first CSR implementation arm in India to be compliant with ISO 26000 framework, actively contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The number of recognitions, the strict nature of the guidelines and their diversity show the Foundation’s innovativeness in its approach, processes, management systems to stand out as a frontrunner in its commitment to its communities and the Indian people.
This feat is a result of years of continuous efforts based on a strong drive and belief in the importance of corporate responsibility and sustainable development.
About the ISO 26000:
The ISO 26000:2010 Guidance on Social Responsibility represents an international standard that provides guidelines for social responsibility with the goal to contribute to global sustainable development by encouraging businesses and other organizations to improve their impacts on their workers, their natural environments, and their communities. The Government of India adopted ISO 26000 as a national standard verbatim in 2019.
