JSW Foundation promotes science and innovation among students in Nagpur

JSW Foundation and JVM host biennial Science Conclave in Kalmeshwar

JSW Foundation in collaboration with Jindal Vidya Mandir organized a 2-day Science Conclave at Kalmeshwar on 19th & 20th December 2019. This biennial Science Conclave is conducted to promote science and innovation among students (from class 6 to post-graduate) and encourages participating students to think out-of-the-box.

Over 270 schools, 20 colleges and 12 government institutions participated in Nagpur district’s largest science conclave.

Overview of the Event

Dr. Varun Bhargava, the eminent Cardiologist inaugurated the Conclave in the presence of Mr. Paresh Shah, Plant Head, JSW Steel Coated Kalmeshwar Works and Dr. Abhishek Lakhtakia, Chief Strategy Officer, JSW Foundation. Dr. Dilip Rathi, senior Orthopedic Surgeon, felicitated the winners of a grand ceremony on 20th December. 

The main themes of the conclave were sustainable practices to combat environmental issues, sanitation & waste management, resource management, industrial development, transport & communication, educational games, and mathematical modelling. Low-cost models based on waste management theme drew a lot of curiosity and attention among the visitors
