JSW Steel and JSW Cement make critical contribution to the Navi Mumbai International Airport
The inauguration of the Navi Mumbai International Airport by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi marks a new milestone in India’s journey toward world-class infrastructure. As one of the nation’s most ambitious aviation projects, the airport symbolises progress, connectivity, and the promise of a Better Everyday for millions of travelers.
JSW is proud to have contributed to this landmark project. Approximately, 60,000 metric tonnes of JSW Steel TMT and JSW Cement’s Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag (GGBS) have been used in the airport’s construction—materials that exemplify strength, sustainability, and innovation. These contributions reinforce JSW’s commitment to building infrastructure that endures, while supporting India’s goals for lower-carbon, resource-efficient growth.
The Navi Mumbai International Airport joins a long list of iconic projects powered by JSW. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai T2), Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi), and Kempegowda International Airport (Bengaluru) have all used JSW’s high-performance steel and cement in their development—a testament to the Group’s role in nation-building through infrastructure excellence.
With every project, JSW continues to help shape India’s modern landscape empowering progress, supporting sustainable practices, and driving innovation that strengthens the nation's growth story. Together, these efforts reflect our belief that building stronger foundations today creates a Better Everyday for tomorrow.
