JSW Group reaffirmed its position as a frontrunner in responsible business practices as JSW Steel and JSW Energy were honoured at the inaugural edition of Business Today India’s Most Sustainable Companies – Summit & Awards 2025.

Held under the theme ‘Charting India Inc’s Sustainable Future’, the prestigious event convened leading voices from industry, government, finance, and sustainability. The awards recognised companies setting high standards in ESG compliance and championing sustainable transformation across sectors.

JSW Group companies took centre stage with remarkable wins:

India’s steeplechase star Avinash Mukund Sable made history despite a challenging season by bringing home India’s first gold in the 3000m in 36 years. Known for his consistency, Sable’s performance cemented his place as one of Asia’s top middle-distance runners.

• JSW Steel was awarded Sectoral Excellence in Manufacturing (Metals & Mining)
• JSW Energy won Sectoral Excellence in Manufacturing (Power Generation)
• JSW Energy was also conferred the coveted title of Transition Leader of the Year, a recognition of its bold strides towards a greener, future-ready energy landscape.

The data-driven evaluation was conducted by CareEdge ESG Ratings, assessing India’s top 1,000 listed entities across 11 critical sectors. Winners were chosen by a distinguished jury chaired by Rajnish Kumar, former Chairman of SBI. The ceremony’s keynote address was delivered by Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, highlighting the role of corporate India in advancing the sustainability agenda.

The honours were received on behalf of JSW Group by Prabodha Acharya, Executive Vice President – Sustainability, and Amit Dayal, General Manager – Safety & Sustainability, JSW Energy.
