SECI Wind Projects
SECI IX- (810 MW)

JSW Energy’s 810 MW ISTS-connected wind power project in Tamil Nadu, awarded under SECI Tranche IX, signifies a pivotal milestone for the company, as it marks its entry into the wind energy sector with its first and largest Greenfield Wind Power Project when awarded. Currently 518 MW is commissioned across Tuticorin and Dharapuram region.

The project is connected via high-voltage transmission lines through PGCIL's GIS New Green Corridor in Tuticorin and the PGCIL Karur substation in Dharapuram. With a 25-year long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in place with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the project ensures stable and predictable cash flows, making it a key contributor to India's clean energy future.

SECI X (454 MW)

SECI X is 454 MW is a wind power project in Tamil Nadu, awarded under SECI Tranche X fully commissioned in FY2025. The Project is present across two locations, 302 MW in Tuticorin and 152 MW Dharapuram. The commissioning of the SECI Tranche X project represents a landmark achievement for the company, as it unveils its first Greenfield wind power project.

The fully commissioned project highlights JSW Energy's commitment to the timely execution of large-scale renewable energy projects. This 454 MW ISTS-connected wind power project is backed by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, securing stable cash flows for the next 25 years.

With this achievement, JSW Energy continues to strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector, contributing to India’s clean energy future.

 

Mytrah Wind Assets
WIND- 1331 MW

In a significant step towards strengthening its clean energy portfolio, JSW Energy has acquired 1,331 MW of wind energy assets acquired from Mytrah Energy India Private Limited (MEIPL) in March 2023.  The wind assets are spread across some of the country’s most wind-rich regions, including Rajasthan (258 MW), Gujarat (78 MW), Maharashtra (52 MW), Karnataka (95 MW), Tamil Nadu (352 MW), Andhra Pradesh (365 MW), Telangana (101 MW), and Madhya Pradesh (30 MW).

This acquisition forms part of JSW Energy’s strategic agreement to acquire a total of 1.8 GW of renewable energy assets from Mytrah, providing the company with a significant opportunity for rapid scaling and long-term value creation. The assets are backed by long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with an average remaining life of 18 years.

 

Group Captive Wind Project 
Spread across Sandur, Dolvi and Salem

JSW Energy has achieved a significant milestone with the commissioning of its Wind Power Plants at Sandur, Dolvi and Salem as a part of Group Captive Agreement to supply continuous power to JSW Steel over the next 25 years. This development marks a key milestone for JSW Energy in enhancing its wind energy capacity while meeting the power requirements of JSW Steel in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

By integrating renewable energy into its energy supply mix, JSW Energy strengthens its wind portfolio and ensures reliable power delivery to its Group companies, aligning with its commitment to long-term sustainability and renewable growth.

 

Vaspet ( 45 MW)

JSW Energy has acquired 45 MW of wind-based renewable energy assets located in Sangli District, Maharashtra in Q1 FY25. This successful project further strengthens JSW Energy’s footprint in the wind energy sector, contributing to the provision of reliable and sustainable power.

 

Hetero Wind (125 MW)

JSW Energy acquired 125 MW of wind energy portfolio acquired from Hetero Labs Limited and Hetero Drugs Limited in Q4FY25. The wind projects, spread across Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, are fully operational. With long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and an average remaining plant life of 15 years, this portfolio will provide sustainable power, contributing to JSW Energy’s growing renewable capacity
