Vizag Port is one of the 13 major ports in India and the only major port in Andhra Pradesh.

It is India's second largest port by volume of cargo handled. The Port has three harbours: the outer, harbour, inner harbour and the fishing harbour. The outer harbour with a water spread of 200 hectares has 6 berths and the inner harbour with a water spread of 100 hectares has 18 berths. Visakhapatnam Port is undergoing an expansion program aimed at increasing its capacity to 130 million tonnes by 2016-17, entailing an investment of ₹13,000 crores.
